There are always this kind of places which are way too overcrowded and popular vs those which are forgotten by people but not also forgotten by nature which takes the time needed to bloom and grace offering more unique experiences than any popular place will ever do.And that's exactly the reason why I together with my family enjoy exploring less known places more than any other popular place which even though we do visit these from time to time as well, we still end up visiting more unknown offered by the wilderness of Romania. 😀
So while the video begins with a fairly popular location in Romania that perhaps everyone visits if they get to that side of the country Bicaz Gorges, the adventure continues on two more gorges that are well linked with the popular one but where you won't get to meet too many tourists on the way - Bicăjel Gorges and Șugău Gorges.
However, mountains don't offer just peaks and some paths in the forest, but also lakes which even though they are natural or not, they still represent a cool place where you go to rest for a while and chill your mind. And the one that gave us this feeling the most was Zetea Lake but we still spent a while also at The Red Lake that could be a lot more peaceful if it wasn't so popular, along with Bicaz Lake.
Though, a less pleasant thing that you can discover in nature which is created by people, is represented by the mining activities which sometimes go too far, like it happened at The Andesite Quarry. But still people can create awesome and unique places, remembering about The Heart of Jesus statue which is the largest statue of Jesus from Eastern Europe.
And last but not least, we couldn't end up this series of episodes without having a stop in a very wild peat bog with lots of unique species and things to see, along with the adrenaline you feel while stepping on a fragile path that keeps you on the surface - Fantana Brazilor peat bog.
So while we were on the way to the next destination, we figured out that no matter if it's cold and rainy, we would feel really sad not to take advantage of the longest bobsled track from Romania. I let you figure out what happened if you are patient enough and watch the video till the end! 😀
