Rusty was a massive fan of the British Touring Car Championship in the 90’s (he’s still got the VHS tapes) so when he arrived at Bathurst recently and saw Gabriele there, he had to chat with him.
A star in karts, he had no real intention of going car racing! Some practice laps in an open wheeler changed that and Gabriele went all the way to Formula 1. Sadly the F1 cars he raced weren’t great for showcasing his talent but in a Touring Car he was something else.
His little known meeting with the legendary Enzo Ferrari, memories of that iconic Alfa Romeo 155 in the BTCC & much more.

The Motorsport Brief: The Fall Guy with Dan Reardon

She didn't want to come on, but she delivered in spades! We are proud to have tracked down and twisted the arm of the former Channel 10 Motorsport team member and intrepid ‘RPM’ reporter for a ‘where are they now’ feature episode.
Alison was at Ten as the network amassed a portfolio of categories that made it the ‘Home of Motorsport’. It was a golden era with everything from World Rally Championship, to Indycar, MotoGP and more. 
Before then, she worked with the late Doug Mulray on Listnr’s broadcast station Triple M. Doug was the King of Sydney radio then and was a popular member of Channel 7’s Bathurst coverage injecting his unmistakable humour to the call.
We discuss how Drower, the likeable FM radio newsreader, made the transition to our screens covering all sorts of cool yarns and bringing out the personalities in Motorsport!

JPL joins Rusty to take us through what we can expect, including close calls, the countries, and his role in such a famous franchise. Plus, a dive into the LaPaglia family connection to cars and how JLP really fell in love with Muscle Cars when he moved to the USA. The first set of wheels he had as an emerging actor to his cool ‘daily drives’ now which are good enough to feature in car magazines!

Rob’s delves deep into his vast time in pitlane, which also included time shaping some legendary cars in the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) at the height of the incredible arms race between the manufacturers in the two litre Super Touring era.
He graciously took a break from his work with the Global Karting League, a groundbreaking initiative he's passionately leading, to join us for this conversation.
