Gain Records launches a brand new compilation with:

"We Are What We Play – A Techno Statement" Vol. 1, a bold declaration of sound and identity. Across a curated selection of tracks from emerging and established producers, this release captures the essence of the label’s vision: functional grooves, hypnotic structures, peak time beats and raw emotional tension.

Each contribution stands on its own, yet collectively they form a coherent sonic language—tight low-end pressure, evolving textures, and percussive focus shaped for club precision. There’s no filler, no compromise—only techno in its most distilled and intentional form.

We Are What We Play isn’t just a collection. It’s a manifesto.

Alec Ben and Paul Divison return to Gain Records with Sunday Lovers, a four-track EP that explores the seductive side of techno through groove, repetition, and hypnotic detail.

With a sound that moves effortlessly between precision and instinct, the duo delivers stripped-back club tools with undeniable swing—each track built around tight percussive frameworks, rolling basslines, and textures that evolve subtly but decisively.

The EP captures that liminal space between tension and release, soundtracking long nights and fluid transitions. It’s music designed not to peak, but to persist—to lock the body into motion and the mind into flow.

A confident and refined statement from two producers who understand the power of restraint—and how to make it move.

Davestorm makes his debut on Gain Records with a two-track EP that blends raw groove with percussive finesse, delivering a vibrant and physical take on techno with tribal undertones and a powerful sense of motion.

“Ifuna” leans into deeper territory, fusing pulsating low-end with ritualistic percussion and atmospheric tension. The groove is hypnotic, the mood immersive—a modern tribal techno trip with a precise, cinematic edge.

“How We Do It” is a dancefloor weapon—bold, syncopated, and full of swagger. Shuffling rhythms and sharp vocal chops drive the track forward, channeling a stripped-back, body-oriented energy designed for peak-time impact.

A fierce and functional release from a producer who knows exactly how to move the room. Turn it up.
