The Finale: Come See Me in the Good Light

Hi lovely listeners! This month, Alicia and Sarah are talking about the truly incredible documentary Come See Me in the Good Light, which you've probably heard of. It follows poet Andrea Gibson and their wife Megan Falley during the last full year of Andrea's life as they navigate a terminal cancer diagnosis. It's such a beautiful film, and therefore we find it a fitting one to wrap up the pod with. Thank you for going on this journey into queer film with us, it's been a joy and an honor!

Hi everyone! This month Alicia and Sarah watched the really amazing 2025 documentary, Sally, about Sally Ride, the first woman to go to space with NASA. She was awesome and complicated and smart and athletic and closed off and she put up with a lot of ridiculous shit. She rules and you should watch this!

Episode 111: Am I OK?

Happy pride month y'all! This month, Alicia and Sarah are talking about one of Tig's movies that she and a bunch of people are involved in, iykyk. It is called Am I OK? and it stars Dakota Johnson as an anxious lesbian coming out in her 30's. It is also about friendship and personal growth! This is a mixed bag but ultimately, we *are* ok.

Hello! How is everyone hanging in there? Well today Alicia and Sarah talk about the second installment of their Maria Meggenti double feature, the 2006 film Puccini for Beginners. It's very 2006! So if you want to go back in time to when single white lesbians with one failed book under their belt had enough money to live alone in Manhattan and attend the opera, and when lots of things were awful but possibly less awful than today (?), this one's for you!

Hello gays and theys! Today Alicia and Sarah are digging into a true 90s classic, The Incredibly True Adventure of Two Girls in Love, starring pre-L Word Laurel Holloman as a lanky kinda dirtbag-y lesbo in all the classic 90s teen lesbian garb named Randy. Randy is a high school student who lives in a house with three lesbians (one of whom is her aunt), with all the joy and chaos that brings. Evie is another teenager and the two of them, as the title implies, fall in love. Enjoy this trip down memory lane (sort of) with two former 90s kids!

Episode 106: Sue Bird: In the Clutch

Hi sports gays, and all the other queers! This month Sarah got to talk about sportsball, specifically women's basketball, and boy did they like doing that! This 2024 documentary about WNBA and Seattle Storm legend Sue Bird has it all - drama, triumph, heartbreak, humanity! Alicia confirms that if you are not a basketball girlie this is still a great movie. Hope you enjoy :)
