Galactic Driftwood

Who ya gonna call? The Galactic Driftwood Podcast! We're back for another week, once again with special guest host Stu Burns to talk about the many paranormal and haunted locations in Nebraska. It's October, and if there was ever a time to tell a few ghost stories, this is it! So tune in and listen to Stu and company talk about spooky stuff happening in small (and big!) town Nebraska. Trust me. We're super haunted up in these parts. You're going to want to tune in.

Fly me to the mooooooon and let me play among the stars. This week on the Galactic Driftwood Podcast we're joined by Eric Jon Larson (aka Lord Bobbins), organizer, writer, and mad genius extraordinaire behind TeslaCon.

TeslaCon is the largest annual immersion event for Steampunk fans in North America and is a standout among steampunk conventions for its ability to immerse attendees in a steampunk world through audio and video storytelling, as well as live action, throughout the venue for the duration of the convention.  Now in its eleventh year, each year's convention has its own theme, scripted stories, and events that build on the previous year’s convention and sets the stage for next year’s TeslaCon.  This year’s theme is built around H.G. Well’s “War of the Worlds” novel.

Please join us for an in-depth conversation with Eric on this extraordinary convention to find out what he has planned for this year, hear some entertaining stories about previous years conventions, and get a sneak peek into what he is planning for the next 5 TeslaCons… it’s out of this world!

On the first night, you hear him. On the second night, you see him. On the third night, you feel him. 2020 and 2021 have been a bit rough on all of us, including the movie industry. This week on the Galactic Driftwood Podcast, we're talking about a horror movie that slipped through the cracks during the long, dark pandemic (and the Fox / Disney merger): The Empty Man. Join us as we discuss a great horror movie that's destined to be a cult hit; whenever people figure out it exists.

It's your friendly, neighborhood podcasters, back with a brand new episode! This week we're reaching into the grab bag of nerd topics to talk about upcoming movies and shows that we're looking forward to watching: the recent Spider-man: No Way Home trailer, Shang Chi, Wheel of Time and more!

Something wicked this way comes!  Would you contract a witch to get revenge on your worst enemy?  Maybe you'll give that a second thought after listening to this week's Galactic Driftwood Podcast.  On this episode we're talking about Brand New Cherry Flavor, Netflix's horror show that stands a decent chance of sickening out even the most hardened of horror veterans.  Buckle in fellow astronauts, things are about to get weird up in here.

I can do this all day. What if Peggy Carter got the Super Soldier Serum instead of Steve Rogers? Marvel's new show on Disney+ dropped its first episode a couple weeks ago and that's what we're talking about on the Galactic Driftwood Podcast. Can we get Bill and Linda to watch a "cartoon"? Only time and our nagging will tell! If that's not enough for you, we've got some Nerd News for you too!

Heya, Mistah J! Whoa...that felt weird. But, if this week's movie proves anything it's that weird is good! Join the crew of the Galactic Driftwood Podcast as we talk about James Gunn's colorful movie about C-List super heroes that you've never heard of before, filled with a killer soundtrack and humorous moments. No, not that movie. I'm talking about The Suicide Squad. Well, we're talking about The Suicide Squad, DC's newest, most violent, action flick. So, kick back, adjust your parasitic space starfish face mask, and enjoy!

Avengers, assemble! Well... one Avenger anyway. This week on

the Galactic Driftwood Podcast we're talking about our thoughts on

Marvel's latest movie, Black Widow. Beware! There's spoilers for the

movie ahead (if you haven't shelled out $30 for Disney+ or have seen it

in the theater yet). We're also going to be talking about Scarlet

Johansson's lawsuit against Disney for her cut of the aforementioned

Disney+ profits.
