  • Galactic Gaming News #19 – Week of July 27th
Ryan Murphy with a look at this week’s video game headlines from out of this world.  The video game industry mourns the release of Pixels, Rise of the Tomb Raider dated for PC and PS4, Life is Strange once again this week!
At the top of the show I talked about why I missed last week, which was due to a trip to Toronto to see unreleased Nintendo games! I chatted about it on Episode 177 of The Gamers’ Inn.
Pixels is not getting good reviews…
As if the trailer didn’t give it away, Adam Sandler and Pixels are terrible.
Rise of the Tomb Raider dated for PC and PS4
One of the biggest concerns from last years E3 was the exclusivity details for Rise of the Tomb Raider. For over a year it has been touted as a Holiday 2015 exclusive for Xbox One.
Life is Strange, Episode 4 out July 28th
The awesome time traveling adventure game is back! Episode 4 of Life is Strange is out on all platforms it exists on, THIS WEEK.
No episode next week due to being at Nerdtacular, but if you’re at Snowbird or at home, you can catch a LIVE Gamers’ Inn on Saturday, August 1st at 1 PM Mountain in Primrose B.

    Geek Drink of the Week
Ambrosia (as drank on Battlestar Galactica the original series)
Since no one is exactly sure what the Battlestar version of Ambrosia is, (some have said it was supposed to be absinthe or possibly a kind of wine,) the website Geekychef came up with their own recipe.
    Ingredients
    6 oz Midori
    4 oz Blue Curacao
    2 oz lime juice
    Directions
Add all ingredients to the Margaritaville Frozen Concoction Maker pitcher (or a blender) and add ice as directed in the owner’s manual. Makes 36 oz. of delicious concoction. Garnish with a stemmed cherry and enjoy! –

  • Galactic Gaming News #18 – Week of July 14th
Ryan Murphy with a look at this week’s video game headlines from out of this world.  The video game industry mourns the loss of Satoru Iwata, Nintendo President. Futurama is coming back as a mobile game and the Doctor invades LEGO Dimensions.
Satoru Iwata, Nintendo President, has passed away at age 55
It’s been a somber start to the week with the news of Iwata’s passing, released Sunday evening.
Futurama is back, in video game form!
While a new TV season of the hit show is not in the cards, we’ll at least be able to experience this universe again in a new mobile game.
    The Doctor invades LEGO dimensions
I’m a Doctor Who newbie, but a fan none the less. As a general geek you’d think Lord of the Rings, Back to the Future, Ninja Turtles or Portal would have me salivating for LEGO Dimensions. But it turns out it was the Tardis and Peter Capaldi that would have me wanting this game.
