NT:2469 Iskariotes (is-kar-ee-o’-tace); of Hebrew origin [probably OT:377 and OT:7149]; inhabitant of Kerioth; (i.e. Keriothite), an epithet of Judas the traitor: – Iscariot.

Additional word numbers provided in Strong’s definition given in NT:2469 lead to supplementary definitions:

OT:377 ‘iysh (eesh); … to be a man, i.e. act in a manly way: – show (oneself) a man.

OT:7149 qirya’ … or qiryah … (keer-yaw’); … : – city.

Even though Judas’ betrayal is certainly an atrocity, the epithet/surname needs to help portray Judas’ actions, character, etc., and in my opinion, city man misses the mark.

The next step is to look up Kerioth, the name cited in NT:2469.

OT:7152 Qeriyowth (ker-ee-yoth’); plural of OT:7151; buildings; Kerioth, the name of two places in Palestine: – Kerioth.

OT:7151 qiryah (kir-yaw’); from OT:7136 in the sense of flooring, i.e. building; a city: – city.

OT:7136 qarah (kaw-raw); … to light upon (chiefly by accident); … to bring about; … to impose timbers (for roof or floor): – appoint, lay (make) beams, befall, bring, come (to pass unto), floor, [hap] was, happen (unto), meet, send good speed.

Thus, Iscariot basically means “inhabitant of buildings” or “building a city”.

This is an ancient Hebrew meaning tied to 7149 The pictograph is a picture of the sun at the horizon and the gathering of the light, the pictograph is a picture of the head of a man. Combined these mean "gather the men". The meeting or bringing together of people or objects by arrangement, accident or purchase.

Judas Iscariot from Kerioth basically means:

To champion gathering men together to bring fire to men’s heads in a city.

Does that sound like Acts 2 or the Illuminati?

Judas a Judean was poised for Pentecostal outpouring but got himself in the place of Holy Spirit.

Sovereignty rests in the individual at the point the individual rests in the Sovereign.

The freedom to exercise your will does not make you free unless you’re submitted to the ‘I will’ of the Father who is free. Granted, free will may be given as an illusion of freedom to test man’s heart to see whom man truly loves: their own definition of freedom or the Father’s.

In this way we come deeper and deeper into the Father’s love for us, for example, Job.

I would say our so-called right to exercise free will is to cherish a desire that will fail us and is the ultimate iniquity of the human soul.

Satan is going about the business of deceiving us into believing that the exercise of our own right to exercise free will will liberate us into a greater freedom of self. He manages to convince us to concede our relationship with our Father’s ‘I will’ which is a way of greater glory of freedom than we could ever conceive or manufacture.

The freedom to exercise your will is your freedom to do so....but what if the way we define our freedom is not free?
