By now, you’ve probably heard of Galentine’s Day…but did you know it was started in 2010 by a show called Parks and Recreation? Much like the catching on of the show’s hit phrase, treat yo self, Galentine’s Day began to rise in popularity every Valentine’s Day Eve thereafter. Leslie Knope said, “[Galentine’s Day is} like Lilith Fair, minus the angst. Plus frittatas.” Ladies celebrating ladies, female friendships at the forefront.
