Haley has been on a point & click adventure game stint so we go over some of the ones she has been playing, as well as some other noteworthy mentions. Meanwhile Michael has been playing Ocarina for the millionth, time, as well as some new titles.

We replay Bioshock Infinite for the first time in almost a decade to see if it holds up since our teen minds have fully developed. We chat about it's false prophets and false promises (looking at you E3 Gameplay trailer 2011), the combat, and it's characters all while trying to make sense of its numerous timelines in the base game and DLC. Is there any true followup to the citizen cane of games?? Sometime something ludonarrative dissonance...something..

Okay okay, Haley admits this game is pretty good so not too much fighting in this one. But we chat about the combat, the VERY CONFUSING plot, and of course Kojima himself to round out this episode on the 2019 release of Death Stranding (as well as the Director's Cut improvements).

It's Haley's turn to make Michael play a game again, and for episode five he was tasked with beating the 2017 indie darling Night in the Woods from Infinite Fall. It's one playthrough vs. seven playthroughs, as Michael and Haley squabble about the story, characters, themes, and gameplay (or allegedly lack thereof) to decide whether it reaches the 'good game' tier all games reach for. Some might say its' a "thanksgiving dinner without the turkey', while others might say it's a masterpiece.

It's episode 4 with Resident Evil 4, as Haley completes a playthrough for the first time to discuss it with Michael, a 12 playthrough veteran. We'll answer a ton of questions, like: does this game hold up in 2021? Why is the merchant the best character? How come Leon's one-liners are the best part of the game? And are there even zombies in it?? Who knows!

In episode 3 Michael plays one of Haley's favorite games Super Mario Sunshine for the very first time so we can discuss the game's difficulty level, worlds, gameplay mechanics, music, and much more! Ultimately deciding that the best way to describe what playing Super Mario Sunshine feels like is when you chew on a big ol' mouthful of tropical skittles.

Some flavors are good, some are bad, but at the end of the day, it's a vibe.

Michael makes Haley sit down and fully beat one of his favorite games of all time, Dark Souls. Just so we can talk about it. We chat about the game's story, bosses, platforming, online legacy, and more, with one hot and one cold(ish) on the infamous title.

In the inaugural episode of Game and Make Up, Haley makes Michael play one of her favorite games: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. We discuss (and respectfully disagree) on the overall quality of the 2006 title covering topics like Nintendo's writing style, Link and Midna's relationship, the game's slow start, and much more.
