Description:

This course explains why SLPs need to
understand sensory processing and what their role is. This course will discuss
sensory strategies to have more effective 
speech therapy sessions. Review regulation vs dysregulation and what
that will look like for children and how we can enter their optimal learning
zone. Earn 1 clock hour of continuing education credit (Introductory Level, Professional Area).

As a result of this presentation the participant will be able to:  

1.Explain why regulation is essential to building communication. 
2.Describe key characteristics of the regulated child.
3.Describe 3 sensory activities that can be implemented in sessions in order to improve regulation.
