March 31, 2018 Yamaha Genos Demonstations [ 24bit / Flac, MP3 & 4K YouTube Video ]

The Yamaha Genos keyboard has been around for a while now, however I have now due to a recent hardware purchase been able to record in super high 24bit quality all 9 of the main audio demonstrations built into the keyboard.

As well as the no loss of quality 24bit / 88kHz lossless Flac files I have made available here, you also have the option of standard lossy MP3 files for full compatibility at a standard 16bit / 44kHz - 320kb/s bitrate. I have even made a little YouTube video with them all combined, with some of the footage I captured of the Genos keyboard itself in 4K resolution.

To take full advantage of the 24bit flac files, you will ideally need a computer or device that can fully utilise 24bit audio files and of course likewise for the 4K YouTube video, a minimum 4K display is recommended - but it looks good in standard HD too.

In my second episode of the ‘Game & Gadget Podcast’ dedicated to gaming and technology, we discuss the recent E3 announcements from Microsoft, Sony & Nintendo, Windows 8.1 and Apple’s WWDC event.
Guests include Matt Baxter-Reynolds a mobile software development consultant and technology sociologist based in the UK who blogs for ZDNet and Chris Brandrick a freelance technology writer at Techhive and a blogger for Gigaom.
Please note that due to a technical problem, my side of the recording is not up to the usual high standard I would expect – however, the debate was so interesting and with quite a bit of audio editing on my part, I decided to release regardless so you can all enjoy the discussions.

This is the very first episode of a new podcast series dedicated to gaming and technology known as the ‘Game & Gadget Podcast’. For our first episode, we are covering the recent announcement of the new Xbox One console revealed by Microsoft.
It is my aim to have a bunch of guests from various gaming and technology websites within each episode, discussing the latest developments while dipping into retro nostalgia.

April 10, 2013 My Created Chiptune Track – Using Free Samples from eJay Pure [VIDEO]
eJay is back, however this time possibly appearing on iOS and Android mobile platforms if a Kickstarter campaign to raise £150,000 by Thursday Apr 25, 8:31am BST is successful.
As part of the funding incentive, they are releasing samples for free at various points in the campaign. On this occasion, a selection of video game retro type loops containing bass, drums, FX and more to play around with.
Using GarageBand to import the free loops, adjust the panning and add a couple of unique instrument tracks - here is my finished Chiptune inspired track.
