Game Night Gentlemen

Anton Gully lives in a quiet suburban house with his wife and two children, a traditional picture of domestic bliss. MASTICATE invites themselves in and discovers what that picture is hiding. There’s a basement that should have stayed locked, a journal that refuses to stay buried, and mounting evidence that Sgt. Gully isn't just involved—he's at the dead center. In a Thousand Oaks home built for peace and comfort, the agents find neither waiting.

Below deck on the Hull Yeah, MASTICATE holds court over Freddie Sutton. The arguments are practical, clinical even, except for one voice that sounds a little too eager and one that can't quite hide the dread of what's coming. No one can deny the cold logic of what needs to happen next. On deck, something catches Matthew's attention; a scent that he's come to savor, along with its promise of violent indulgence.

Back on land, an envelope arrives through channels that don't officially exist. Inside is an offer...or maybe a trap. One phone call could smooth everything over, put all the misunderstandings to rest. But some lines can't be uncrossed, and MASTICATE has to decide whether they're looking for an exit or a fight.

A picture coheres from the mosaic: Franklin Dyer was brewing something in his basement, and whatever he distilled from those alchemical compounds was on the street. The Slug Squad's fingerprints are everywhere. So the team sets their sights on bent cop Freddie Sutton—and takes him somewhere quiet to ask the hard questions. Time to decide: keep the cover, or start dropping bodies.

MASTICATE returns to the Southside Tiger’s house, where the county covered the basement and the police closed the case. Inside, they find what the authorities left behind; stains, smells, and secrets waiting behind the walls. And when the coroner’s report on Jaz Ihejirika arrives, the parallels become impossible to ignore.

MASTICATE sees just how far Slug Squad’s reach extends. A wary coroner becomes an unlikely ally once the agents press past his fear. A grieving widower recalls deputies who convinced him to stop asking questions. And when the team digs into the history of a dead serial killer, the details sound far too familiar for comfort.

MASTICATE pulls back the cover on Jaz Ihejrika’s death and finds a pattern of overdoses that all look a little too convenient. Attorney Nelinha Estevez might have the map to the rot inside the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department—if she survives long enough to share it.

Jaz Ihejrika tore his head open on camera.

Now the team’s sifting through the remnants of his life, and the hacked servers of the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department, trying to figure out who jabbed him and why. Every lead drags MASTICATE closer to a showdown with law enforcement, the kind of engagement Delta Green does its damndest to avoid.

MASTICATE rebuilds the team one threat at a time. A sandwich shop turns into a crime scene, a soccer field becomes a confession booth, and Frank Booth’s diplomacy style emerges as “give us the notes or we’ll detain you.” The new recruits learn what every agent eventually does—Delta Green’s HR department is a loaded gun.

A viral death yanks MASTICATE out of limbo and into Los Angeles. Jaz Ihejrika’s bloody suicide was caught on half a dozen cameras and the footage has infected the worst corners of the internet. Now the unseen force that Matthew serves and Frank fears sets off a Rube Goldberg machine of synchronicities that will remake MASTICATE.

Millions stolen, families paid, karma balanced—at least on paper. Frank Booth’s laundering his conscience one duffel bag at a time while new players stumble into the blast radius of MASTICATE. A year out of the field gives McCarter some stability. The good times come to an end when Frank gets a message that wasn't meant for him.
