In these chapters (Daenerys, Eddard, Jon) we get a reminder of just what a fucking creep Viserys is to his sister, and honestly I had forgotten just how much I truly hated him. Then there's Ned, who is clearly aware that some bad shit is on the docket but doesn't see a way around it, and it's horrible to watch him hurtling to his own destruction. And of course lastly there's Jon, who is struggling with his place in the world, and gets a pep talk from Tyrion.
