This week we're proud to present a special episode of Game On. We were lucky enough to be joined by Holly Stanford, creator of the upcoming web series, V for Valhalla. On this special episode, Visionary Realms takes over the podcast!
Ever wonder how to get started in a video game career? Visionary Realms Chief Creative Officer Brad McQuaid and Lead Tester and Associate Designer Tim Wathen talk with Director of Communications Ben de la Durantaye about their experiences in the making of Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen, the upcoming high-fantasy MMORPG.
During the Pantheon podcast Wathen outlines his journey from fan to designer, how he got involved early and how his passion for the project ended up landing him a spot on the team. Wathen and McQuaid laugh that there was a time when Tim was mad at Brad McQuaid and he details how that feeling turned around after coming on board.
McQuaid recounts the start of Pantheon, its Kickstarter, and addresses the challenges that happened early on in the project. He outlines how tenacity plays a big part in video game development, particularly video game startups. And how do you deal with Internet trolls? Or are they even trolls?
Find out how McQuaid and de la Durantaye got their starts in the video game industry and learn more about the powerhouse team behind the Pantheon project in this packed Pantheon podcast.
