Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising is the prequel to the upcoming Eiyuden Chronicle Hundred Heroes. The successor to the Suikoden. Still with me? This is a title that combines Beat em Up action with the fantasy elements and story telling of a Final Fantasy RPG.

Creating a unique RPG that could appeal to players who both like a character driven narrative but don't necessarily want slower paced action RPG's. The problem occurs when you have a design that relies on repetitive elements and elongated quest times to help pad out an overall play time that might be too much for many.

While E3 2022 is not a thing, that didn't stop Microsoft from showing off what they have cooking for Xbox and Gamepass in 2022. With a focus on the next 12 months instead of the overall portfolio, Microsoft's show was a bit of a mixed bag. While Gamepass customers have a lot to look forward to in the next 12 months, fans awaiting to hear and see news about Perfect Dark, Fable and Avowed were left a bit underwhelmed and wanting more.

Unsouled finds itself in a weird spot. Its a souls-like game that has a lot of systems and complex mechanics that are hard to master but fun to mess around with. But at the same time the world that the player has at is disposal to use the mechanics given isn't the best at times. Creating a souls-like experience that is lopsided with its pacing and as a souls-like game that presents a lot of problems.

Paradise Killer is a first person detective game that combines strong writing with a wacky world. At first glance it might appear to be very over the top and ridiculous and you would be right with that assumption. But even with its very anime style of story telling and visual art style there is a very deep detective style game here that could call out to games like Ace Attorney. However, it might also rub those people the wrong way with its traversal and convoluted clues.

Tainted Grail: Conquest is a card battling game that brings Roguelike elements to the mix. In a sea of Roguelikes that have been hitting the scene for the past several years it can be difficult to stand out but Tainted Grail manages to with its compelling classes and unique cards. It is a rough presentation at times but its not enough to ruin the experience and players might lose hours to Tainted Grail: Conquest.
