We've been eagerly awaiting the Animal Crossing Direct since the tease of Brewsters at last weeks Nintendo Direct and it didn't disappoint. It was jam-packed with news, content and some surprises too.
In this week's episode, we'll run through all the new things (and the things that should arguably have been there since the start) and let you know which we're most excited about.
Plus, special guest Elsie helps us understand what to expect from the DLC
It's an Animal Crossing heavy episode so we hope you enjoy it.
As always, head over to www.gametogether.co.uk and sign up for our newsletter to get each episode as soon as it's released.
This week, we sat down with the Q4 Releases - that's everything coming out from now until Christmas and picked out our favourites.
From Monkey Ball to Super Mario Party and loads in between, we run through what we're looking forward to and what Lois things should go straight in the bin (mainly single player games).
As always, we'd totally love a review if you have a moment spare, it really helps people find out about us.

This week we're back with a review of WarioWare Get It Together for Nintendo Switch. We love WarioWare games so the prospect of a multiplayer version was right up our street. Lois gives the rundown on the details, what she loves and all the features of this new game.
We've also been playing Boomerang Fu, an absolute stonker of an indie game from Cranky Watermelon. If you're looking for an easy to play difficult to master family party game, we may have found you the answer. Check it out at https://www.boomerangfu.com/
Finally, we're back with more of Lois' Dream Games - this time she takes on Mario and comes up with a multiplayer team battle that could be pretty fantastic.
As always, please do give us a follow/subscribe - we massively appreciate it.
You can also sign up to our email list over at gametogether.co.uk and we'll let you know as soon as a new episode drops.
As always - Game Together!
This week Lois and James sit down with their first international guest, Jed Shaffer host of the Gamer Parents' Strategy Guide.
We had a great conversation about life as a gamer parent, how Jed got into games and of course, how to keep playing games together, even as the kids get older. We discuss why it's so important for parents to engage with their kids' hobbies in general as well as, naturally, what we love about video games as a medium.

It's a bit of a different episode this week, but one thing stays the same, Lois and James will be discussing video games. This time, however, it's all about our trip to the Centre for Computing History in Cambridge, England.
We had a fantastic visit and saw (and most importantly played with) all sorts of different computers and games consoles from throughout the ages. It's described as the place parents become historians and that was so true, the 'grown ups' were able to show our kids a bit of our gaming history and they could try it out.
Everything was hands-on, so we got to challenge Lois view that all old games have fuzzy graphics and are hard to play. We also get into a kids view on how us parents plan days out with the kids and what nostalgia means.
It was a fun episode, let us know what you think.
As always, please do subscribe and leave us a review if you like what you hear.
It's a Pokémon heavy episode this week!
Following the Pokémon Presents, we have loads of more details on Pokémon Legends Arceus, Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, Unite, Masters EX and Pokémon Go. Needless to say, we're very very excited about Arceus. We'll run through all the new features coming our way, new monsters and much more.
Plus Lois details her pitch for her dream Pokémon game - spoiler alert, it sounds pretty fantastic!

After years of speculation, months of waiting and rumours galore, the new Switch model has been revealed and it is, quite frankly, underwhelming. So who is the new Switch for? If you're thinking of getting one for the family this Christmas, which model should you go for? If you have one already, is it worth the upgrade? Lois and James run through the details and help point you in the right direction.
Plus, this week (and probably for the foreseeable future!) we've been playing Monster Hunter Stories 2. Spoiler alert: It's already Lois' favourite game ever. If you like Pokemon and haven't tried a Monster Hunter game before (like us) this could be the time to start. Settle in and have a listen as we run through our first impressions of the game.
And finally, we're talking about Trine, an old game that's on offer right now if you're looking for something to play together as a family, this is looking like a great choice.

This week, Lois is taking a break and James is joined by his amazing nephew, Olly. After 13 episodes, we finally get to talk about Minecraft with someone who really knows their stuff. If you look at Minecraft and think it looks almost impossible to get into, Olly's got a few tips to help get started - it's never too late. Plus we talk about Roblox, another game James & Lois know very little about.
And it wouldn't be an episode of Game Together if we didn't talk a bit about how Olly got started playing video games.
We had a lovely chat, we really hope you enjoy it.

This week Lois and James are joined once again with Elsie for a review of Nintendo's E3 Showing.
There were a lot of great announcements, some fabulous previews and everything is made more exciting when viewed through the eyes of a child, not a jaded old video gamer! Lois loves Monter Hunter Stories 2, Elsie can't wait for Mario Party and James is excited for Breath of the Wild 2.
It's out a little late, but it's no less great so we hope you enjoy it.

This week we've plunged deep into the world of Xbox Game Pass, one of the best deals in gaming today (we're not being paid to say that!) looking for the best games to play together.
We uncovered some absolute gems like Phoggs & Rain on Your Parade which are well worth a look - they're available on other platforms of course, but Xbox Game Pass is a great place to check out games you might otherwise skip over.
If you like what Lois and I are doing, please do leave us a review - we really appreciate it!
