For us, the Tancredo Neves Sports Center, our beloved Tancredão, is like a second home. It's there, on the back court, that we meet, train, sweat and do what we love most: play basketball. Basketball isn't just a game for us, you know? It's an escape, a way to keep our minds and bodies healthy, to distract our minds.
But, to be honest, we had a serious problem there on the back court. The backboard and the basketball hoop weren't in good condition. They were crooked, worn out, and even a bit dangerous. It was difficult for us to train properly and accurately. And of course, our safety was also compromised. We felt that we deserved better equipment, so that we could train in ideal conditions and continue to improve.
Councilman Robson Fagundes decided to lend a hand. He came to visit us at Tancredão, sat down with us, talked a lot, and listened to what we wanted. We told him how important basketball is in our lives, how it keeps us focused. We showed him what the court, the hoop, and the backboard were like, and the difficulties we faced.
He made a request to the City Council asking people to replace the backboard and this basket for us. Now, we are rooting for all of this to become a reality soon. Having a brand new backboard and basket will be a huge incentive for us and for everyone who plays there. It shows that the city values the sport and our dedication.

Pra gente, o Ginásio de Esportes Tancredo Neves, o nosso querido Tancredão, é tipo uma segunda casa. É ali, na quadra dos fundos, que a gente se encontra, treina, sua a camisa e faz o que a gente mais ama: jogar basquete. O basquete não é só um jogo pra nós, sabe? É um escape, uma forma de manter a mente e o corpo sãos, distrair a cabeça.
Mas, pra ser sincero, a gente tava com um problema sério lá na quadra dos fundos. A tabela e a cesta de basquete não estavam boas. Elas estavam tortas, desgastadas, meio perigosas até. Pra gente treinar direito, com precisão, era difícil. E claro, a segurança da gente também ficava comprometida. A gente sentia que merecia um equipamento melhor, pra treinar em condições ideais e continuar evoluindo.
O Vereador Robson Fagundes decidiu dar uma mão. Ele veio nos visitar no Tancredão, sentou com a gente, conversou bastante e ouviu o que queríamos. A gente falou pra ele o quanto o basquete é importante nas nossas vidas, como ele nos mantém focados. Mostramos pra ele como estava a quadra, o aro e o tabelão e a dificuldade que enfrentávamos.
Ele fez um pedido lá na Câmara de vereadores pedindo pro pessoal trocar a tabela e essa cesta pra gente. Agora, a gente tá na torcida pra que tudo isso vire realidade logo. Ter uma tabela e uma cesta novinhas vai ser um super incentivo pra gente e pra todo mundo que joga lá. Mostra que a cidade valoriza o esporte e a nossa dedicação.
