Today on the show we talk to the former interim Head Coach of Colby College - Jon Hunt.

Coach Hunt was Interim Head Coach (starting in Feb 2016)

Former Assistant Coach, and close friend to Jack Sandler who passed away in Nov 2015.

Was offensive coordinator from 2003 to 2005.

He was the Head Coach and and admissions counselor at Bridgton Academy, 2012: 23-17 record in his three seasons.

He was the Head Coach at University of New England from 2005 to 2012:

-Led program to first-ever conference tournament and to additional tournament appearances.

-The first-ever ECAC tourney and championship game appearance.

Started his collegiate coaching career as an assistant coach at Quinnipiac University from 2001 to 2003. He worked with the offense for the Division I school.

At Plymouth State University he was the Panthers’ Male Athlete of the Year in 2000. Played midfielder in his four years with Plymouth State.

Named the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) Man of the Year in 2013.

He was a member of the NCAA men’s lacrosse rules committee from 2008 to 2012.

1999, Shay was selected to join the coaching staff of Team USA for the inaugural World Cup of Lacrosse.

Shay began his coaching career as the head coach at Morrisville (N.Y.) Junior College, and he compiled a 20-17 record in three years.

On this episode we have UNC assistant coach, Dave Metzbower. Coach Metzbower graduated from the University of Delaware in 1986.

After graduating from UD, he joined the Blue Hens’ coaching staff and spent 1987-1989 on the sidelines in Newark.

In 1990, Metzbower joined the Princeton staff as the top assistant to head coach Bill Tierney and helped create dynamic offenses that averaged 181.6 goals per year over a 20-season span.

Metzbower helped the Tigers win six NCAA championships, reach the NCAA semifinals 10 times and advance to the NCAA quarterfinals on 16 occasions. During Metzbower’s tenure, the Tigers won 14 Ivy League titles while achieving a cumulative 230-65 record.

He helped develop the top five goal scorers in Princeton history, the top four in career points, 22 All-Ivy League attackmen, seven Ivy League Players of the Year, 27 first-team All-Americas and 74 All-Ivy League first-team selections. Under Metzbower, Kevin Lowe (1994) and John Hess (1997) won the Lt. Col. J.L. Turnbull Award as the outstanding attackman in Division I, and Josh Sims twice won the Lt. Donald McLaughlin Award as the top midfielder in Division I (1998 and 2000).

He’s now the assistant coach at the University of North Carolina who just made it back to final four this upcoming weekend for the first time since 1993.

Today on the show we have Bryant Head Coach, Mike Pressler.

Coaches Pressler was Head coach for VMI in 1983.

He then became an assistant at Army from 1984 - 1985.

After Army he moved on to become the head coach at Ohio Wesleyan from 1986 - 1990.

He was the head coach of Duke University from 1991 - 2006.

He was the USILA Coach of the year in 2005 and he was voted ACC Coach of the year three times.

He is now the head coach of Bryant University.

At the time of this podcast his record in 9 season at Bryant is 101 - 57.

He currently ranks 7th all time for career wins among all active coaches across all 3 divisions. He’s 8th all time in wins in NCAA history. His winning percentage of .675 ranks 5th among active DI coaches and 25th all time.
