Segment 5: So, what did Tom Tuttle think of the Gophers’ win on Thursday?  He joins the fellas to pick through some of the highlights.  How does their appearance, along with North Dakota State’s, mean for high school hoops across Minnesota?  Plus, the three get into some college hockey with conference tournaments reaching their championship point.

When we say that we have the Upper Midwest covered, we mean it.  And that’s oh, so true this week.  Larry joins the show from Chicago, where he covering the Big Ten men’s basketball tournament.  Eric connects to us from Superior, WI, where he’s taking a short breath from the hustle and bustle of the Twin Cities.  But they’re both locked in to the headlines of the week.  The Gopher men are shining up the resume for a hopeful NCAA bid.  Anthony Barr decides to stay in Minnesota and not be among the list of NFL players changing teams.  Major League Baseball goes international yet again.  Fans (and others) get unruly on and off the field.  Plus, GDG producer Jonathan Lowe chimes in with the chatter on the upcoming NCAA Tournament and the hot start to the Loons’ season.

Segment 1: The Gopher men’s basketball team got their postseason push underway Thursday at the Big Ten Tournament.  Larry was in the press box for their first matchup, and he tells how the victory over Penn State played out.

Segment 2: NFL free agency has been a blur, and it’s only a few days old.  The guys discuss linebacker Anthony Barr’s decision to stay with the Vikings.  Plus, are the Jets bad for free agent business, or did the signing of running back LeVeon Bell help the franchise turn a corner?

Segment 3: Several big names found new homes as the NFL offseason turned into a cash cow this week.  Our hosts look at some of those names making moves.  Then, diamonds are going worldwide as the MLB will play games in Japan and London this year.

Segment 4: The Gophers continue to try and impress the NCAA Selection Committee before the brackets are revealed Sunday.  But what about some of the teams that are already in?  GDG producer Jonathan Lowe joins in as the NCAA Tournament draws closer.

Segment 5: At the start of their 2019 campaign, it’s a different story for MN United.  Eric and Jonathan Lowe give their reasons for the team’s fast start to Year Three.  Is there excitement building with the home opener still a month away?

Segment 6: Larry returns for the last segment of the program.  The guys discuss their dietary habits for a bit.  After that, the man known as “Lefty” will play in the inaugural 3M Open.  How big of a get is legendary golfer Phil Mickelson for the event?  And what’s with all the bad behavior in sports?  The fellas break down a week filled with several ugly, and even criminal, episodes.
