Segment 5: When it comes to hockey in Minnesota, there’s no one you can trust more than Lou Nanne. The legend joins our hosts for a few minutes. He brings up his efforts to raise funds for U of M athletics, along with talking pucks (Wild, Kings, Gophers). But don’t pigeon-hole him. He also discusses Gopher football.

Segment 4: The show circles back around to the reason for this week’s location. Eric and Larry get the chance to talk with L.A. Kings hall-of-fame broadcaster Bob Miller. They recap Wednesday night’s action, discuss how the defending champs can improve, find out where the Kings stand in the L.A. sports pecking order, and banter about the difficulty of the NHL’s Western Conference.

Segment 3: It’s a shame that the Vikings are in the NFC North. Otherwise, Sunday’s game against Carolina might help in the chase for a division title. The fellas talk about the struggles of the Purple, as well as the NFC South as a whole. Plus, we hear a preview of the showdown between New England and Green Bay.

Segment 2: This may just be the most impactful Battle for the Axe in several decades. The guys dig into Saturday’s de facto Big Ten West title game, a.k.a. Minnesota at Wisconsin. How can the Gophers slow down Badger back Melvin Gordon? Will U of M counterpart David Cobb be able to play? And what would a Gopher win mean for the development of the program?
