It's Stream of Nonsense time, so buckle in as we discuss all of your favourite topics such as the proper way to spell DuckTales, the recent remaster of the classic NES DuckTales game, and our general reminiscing on DuckTales and all things Scrooge McDuck-related. Also: Rob's been working part-time, getting caught up Canberra pottery beef, playing more Baldur's Gate III and Shantae games, and avoiding the whole topic of u-boats because apparently some of you dweebs are getting sick of it. And AC's injured himself severely, sold his Aussie Dreamcast, and is heading back to Japan very soon (actually today I think). We also discuss all the old TV shows we used to watch when we were kids, Mini-Doom, the Yoshimura family's experiences with Stardew Valley, getting into the Bubble Bobble zone, and father's day activities.
Better late than never! Yes that's right, Rob finally got around to editing and uploading the next instalment of your favourite video game podcast, so you can all breathe a big sigh of relief and listen in as the lads discuss Beavis and Butthead, the Japanese Simpsons, what would happen if Australians took over the royal family, Rob's further adventures in the U-boat war, AC's adventures with the funky little handheld console Playdate, Bluey coins, getting the snip, and wrapping it all up with a VERY niche quiz.
Our featured game this week is Exit 8!
You can all breathe a collective sigh of relief because your favourite podcast idiots are back to discuss this year's most important gaming announcement, the release of Spy Bros: Pipi & Bibi DX on Steam. Remember that dumb arcade game we talked about back in Episode 44 where you get to see the boobahs after completing a level? Well it's back, it's on Steam, and it's completely devoid of anything the least bit arousing. Hooray! Also in this episode, Rob has been to the Gold Coast and has been playing a lot of Hell Let Loose during MAFS season, while AC has been to Japan and is playing a lot of Super Mario Bros. Wonder during... Mario season(?), PLUS Baldur's Gate 3, Streets of Rogue, Boomer John, Shigeru Miyamoto's ample bosom, and a quiz about crime games. Enjoy!
You can all breathe a collective sigh of relief because your favourite video game podcast is back once again with more drivel for your ears to absorb! That's right it's episode 112, it's the holiday season, and nothing says Christmas quite like... the Ghost In The Shell PS1 game where you pilot a little crab-like tank thingy! Also in this illustrious episode, AC has been playing video game-ass video games like Super Mario Bros. Wonder for the Nintendo Switch, while Rob has been diving (pun intended) into the weird wild world of simulator games.
Well gosh darn it the boys done recorded another prodcarste. This week we review the Game Cube version of Wario Ware (haven't we covered that game already?), Rob has been playing the Steam release of Dwarf Fortress and sinking enemy shipping in Silent Hunter 3, while AC has been playing The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and the new Mario Kart tracks. Plus we discuss exciting adult topics like the housing market and using the Play School theme to uncover fake Australians.
Our intro and outro music was supplied by Animanaguchi (without their knowledge, it's not like we know them or anything).
We're back after a 7-month break because we're nothing if not dynamic go-getters. And as always with every 5th episode it's an unstructured Stream of Nonsense, so strap in for listening joy as your hosts AC and Rob discuss the Big Tennis Racket, speedos, the joy of a samey sequel, Mickey Mouse's lack of comedic talent, how good Smash TV is (spoilers - it's very good), weird versions of DOOM, the John Candy classic Uncle Buck, and obnoxious method actors. In video game news, Wormsfest 2023 was a hit, AC has been playing Atari 50 and got his paws on another version of the thrilling Japanese train driving game Densha de Go!, while Rob has done nothing but play Hell Let Loose for the last 6 months and is looking more grizzled than a McDonalds quarter pounder patty. Plus AC goes joyriding in a vintage car, the podcast moves to Anchor FM, and more!
