After 25 hours with Marathon, I’m checking in two months after launch. In this episode, I break down what Bungie gets right, where the game struggles, and why it hasn’t fully stuck with me - plus whether it’s worth playing right now.

After nearly five years away, Games Are Fun is officially back.

In this comeback episode, Luke opens up about the full story behind the hiatus—why the podcast came to an unexpected stop in 2021, what life looked like during the break, and the experiences that led to its return in 2026. This isn’t just a relaunch—it’s a reset, a reflection, and a new chapter.

Whether you’ve been here since the beginning or you’re discovering the show for the first time, this episode sets the tone for what’s ahead: more gaming conversations, deeper discussions, and a renewed passion for the culture around games.

The podcast returns starts here.
