Podcast wizards Harry and Rory are joined by musician David Lightfoot of rock band The Fades, as they discuss the Ken Russell movie version of The Who's rock opera Tommy! With an all-star cast including Jack Nicholson, Ann-Margaret, Oliver Reed, Eric Clapton, Elton John, and Tina Turner, Tommy follows the titular "deaf, dumb and blind kid" through his traumatic childhood before he discovers a talent for pinball and becomes a cult leader in the process. But beyond its iconic Pinball Wizard song and sequence, is there enough pinball action to keep the gamers watching? And will we sing Tommy's praises or will it fall between the flippers?

This podcast contains SPOILERS for Tommy (1975), from 32:00.

Harry and Rory are joined by Lisa Theresa Downey-Dent for an epic conversation about season one of The Last of Us. Based on the Naughty Dog game and adapted by co-creator Neil Druckmann and Chernobyl's Craig Mazin, the hit HBO show has won plaudits from critics, fans, and newcomers, as Joel (Pedro Pascal) escorts Ellie (Bella Ramsey) across a post-apocalyptic America in the hope she may hold the key to a cure for a parasitic fungus that's infected billions, devastated the world, and created icky mushroom monsters. They look back at their experiences with the original game, discuss whether the show succeeds in adapting its story and characters, and dig into its themes of loss, violence and survival across all nine episodes.
