Francis Gannon expects the Fed to lower rates in September based on recent economic data. Focusing on small caps, he sees opportunity and cheaper prices – but the key is earnings performance. He thinks that small caps could start outperforming large caps in 4Q, and he’s especially looking towards industrials. On AI, he believes a cycle is beginning away from hardware and into other AI beneficiaries, which he also sees as a positive for small caps.
