Have your spiritual eyes been opened so that you are motivated to move beyond the easy believism of cultural Christianity to see the real, true and saving faith of following Jesus?

In this text Jesus responds in some unique ways, including a series of questions designed to move His true followers to from wrong responses to the appropriate response. (Mark 8:11-21)

Will we trust Jesus enough to reach out with compassion to someone today because we see, feel and desire to meet their need?  Compassion Matters!  (Mark 8:1-10)

In this passage the people witnessing Jesus' miracle come to a remarkable conclusion based on their observation: Jesus does ALL Things Well!  So, we ask the question, if Jesus does all things well, what does that mean for you and me?  (Mark 7:31-37)

It's important to stay pure in an impure world, but we’d better have the right strategy- and that strategy is to pay close attention to our heart. (Mark 7:14-23)

We must be on guard that our preferred traditions and church culture never become barriers that keep people away from coming to The Truth of Jesus. (Mark 7:1-13)

When the going gets tough, rely on Jesus, He’s there for you! (Mark 6:45-56)

Our mission, should we choose to accept it, is to share The Gospel with urgency recognizing that some will accept, many will reject, but we are still called to share! (Mark 6:7-13)

This section of Mark’s Gospel helps us to understand that every person is valuable to Jesus.  Jesus will receive us whether we are respected or rejected, or somewhere in between. We will see how much Jesus values a man, a woman and a young child as we discover that sometimes Desperate Times call for Desperate
