From a student radio club in the 1960s to 88.3 FM and today’s WGWG.org, explore the history of Gardner-Webb University radio. Host and former General Manager Noel T. Manning II joins Jeff Powell, a former student worker in the 1980s who now serves as general manager and program director, to celebrate the students, volunteers, staff and musicians who shaped the station. WGWG broadcast on FM from 1974 through 2013 and launched live streaming in 1998. Today, it offers streaming, on-demand programming and hands-on learning opportunities for students.
