In this raw and unfiltered episode of Table for Us, I’m pulling up a chair and having a real conversation about competition, jealousy, envy, and division within the Black community—and how these dynamics quietly hold us back.
I reflect on my own lived experiences growing up in the projects, witnessing both unity and unnecessary rivalry, and how those patterns still show up today—especially in entrepreneurship, success, and visibility. We talk about gatekeeping, lack of support, and the mindset that makes us feel like there isn’t enough room for everyone to win.
I also share parts of my personal journey that many people don’t see—including a season of homelessness, survival, and rebuilding—because it’s easy to judge someone’s success when you don’t know the road they had to walk to get there.
This episode isn’t about blame—it’s about awareness, accountability, and choosing unity over ego.
Thinking about starting your own podcast? Table for Us is hosted on Podbean, and it’s been an incredible platform for getting my voice out there.
