In Colossians 3-8-14, Paul explains the believer's sanctification in terms of changing one's clothing. He says that we must take off sinful, Adamic, -old man- behaviors, and put on righteous, Christlike, -new man- virtues. We can appreciate Paul's metaphor when we consider its three essential components.
