The Holy Spirit is here to stay! Jesus came for all, everybody! C2v39
1. Diversity in men. v5. "Out of every nation under heaven"
a. Religious and from every where.
The stage is set for the spirit to deal with everyone around the world.
2. Dispersed message. v6 "when this was noised abroad"
a. They were confounded (confused, stirred up, disordered)
b. The Galileans preaching in every mans native tongue.
The rumor was out. This utterance. This message.
3. Dismayed minds. v7. "Are not?, v8 and how hear we every man"
a. Perplexed, concern and distress caused by the unexpected
b. Not only the ability but the message had them in dismay.
It was so unexplainable it had them in disbelief.
Sometimes when God does what he does, it leaves us dismayed
4. Dismissal in their manners. v12,13. "In doubt""Others mocking said"
a. Some questioned and believed, some mocked (teased, laughed, scorned)
Some refuse and will explain away.

What if we got past the dismay, And just believed in God’s ability?
Quit trying to explain God

1. Ability of the Spirit . v6. every man , in his own"
a. The Spirits ability to every man and for every man.
There are no limits in Gods ability to reach every man.
2. Amazement of the Spirit. v7,8"were all amazed and marveled"
marveled = Amazed, astonished, be awed, stand in awe"
a. The works of the spirit cause men to marvel and wonder.
wonder = A feeling of amazement and admiration, caused by something beautiful
remarkable or unfamiliar.
The working ability of the Spirit stirs the heart of a man.
3. Announcement of the Spirit. v11. "We do hear, the wonderful works of God"
a. The ability of the Spirit to speak through us the message of God
b. The great things that God has done through his son Jesus
The message of the cross preached!
The gift of tongues allowed them ALL to hear the wonderful works!
The message was now going around the world!
