Today we explore our calling to proclaim the Good News of the Kingdom and to make disciples.

In the last chapter of John, we follow Peter and John's journey from when they were first called to the third and final appearance Jesus makes to His disciples. Jesus reaffirms Peter's love and recommissions him to follow Him. Just like the disciples, we are called not only to believe but to love Jesus with everything and live out our calling to follow Jesus everyday.

The resurrection of Jesus changes everything. John gives us several glimpses into the "before and after" for John, Mary Magdalene, Thomas, and all of the disciples. He invites us to have life in His name.

Today we wrestle with the "why" of the crucifixion knowing that we are often too comfortable with the "what". The death of Christ is at the foundation of all we believe.

Examining our response and motives to the age old question, "What shall we do with Jesus?"

Jesus and Peter have very different responses to Jesus' betrayal and arrest. Jesus is our hero. Although Peter isn't our hero, thankfully, his letters show his growth and maturity, which is an example to us today.

In John 17, we learn how to pray better as we get a beautiful glimpse of what is near and dear to Jesus' heart as he prays for His disciples.

In John 16, Jesus gives His disciples three survival essentials: the Holy Spirit, Joy, and Peace. We still need these essentials today!

From John 15, we learn that we must be connected to Jesus, the True Vine, if we are going to bear fruit in a world that hates us.

As Jesus prepares for the cross, He comforts His disciples with promises that are still for us today.
