Cathie’s work and ministry as a leadership development trainer, consultant and coach – has led her to work in global non-profit organizations such as World Vision and Compassion, serve in corporate boardrooms, and travel across Canada and as far as Africa and Australia doing the work she loves. Her mission statement is to help clarify purpose and vision for individuals, teams and organizations.

Cathie is committed to raising the profile and presence of Canadian Christian women coast to coast. As the Co-Founder of Gather Women, she knows that the Canadian landscape has the potential to be transformed by women who are connected and championed within a culture of support. Who is Monica?Monica and her husband Mike are the Lead Pastors of City Life Church in Leduc - a thriving, energetic church which they started in 1992 and recently expanded with a location in Edmonton. She’s a motivator, energetic speaker and professional artist (with a penchant for painting abstracts). Her background in art and unique communication style brings a creative flare to her "out of the box" thinking and practical teaching style. Some of her greatest passions are young people (one of her favorite groups to hang out with), training leaders, and seeing people of all ages become all they were designed to be. Along with her local work, she also speaks at events, conferences and leadership training programs both in Canada and internationally. She and Mike have 2 amazing adult kids, Kaelan and Samara.

She has come all the way through Resurgent’s internship program and has worn many “hats” along the way. Her growth journey has been one to watch as she struggled early days with even being able to speak out loud in front of a small room. And now she leads and communicates to hundreds of people weekly. She has a passion to see people loved, find their place and flourish into their God-given potential.

She has reported on some of the major news events of our day from the 9/11 Terrorist Attacks; Hurricane Katrina in 2005; the 7.0 Earthquake that rocked Haiti in 2010 as well the story of Uganda as it recovers from years of war. Magdalene has also had the opportunity to interview a variety of guests throughout her career from everyday people making a difference in their community to authors; victims of crime; actors; film makers; politicians and musicians. But Maggie is most proud of the work she does with the ministry she founded in 2013 called The Baby Depot which helps families in need in the Hamilton area. Maggie is also the proud mother of Ethan and Joshua and wife to her amazing husband Elton.
