This is a sermon preached by the Rev. Kym McNair is the Associate Minister at Antioch Baptist Church and the Minister of Community Education and Engagement at Bedford Presbyterian Church. She is also the Training Coordinator at My Sisters’ Place, a full-service domestic agency in Westchester County. She graduated from Union Theological Seminary in the City of New York with an MDiv and an S.T.M.

From Saturday, February 13 through Saturday, February 2o, a group of high school students and adults from Bedford Presbyterian Church and Temple Shaaray Tefila lived and worked in three communities in Nicaragua. During the week we were there, along with the staff from Bridges to Community and a team of masons, we helped to build homes for six families. On Sunday, March 6, five trip participants - Olivia Dey, Peter DiBiasi, Elise Johnston, Elsie Harrington and Chris Perry - shared their reflections about the trip with us.
