Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak has publicly stressed that an inter-Arab security force is urgently needed in Gaza to prevent Hamas from retaking control. He believes such a force should be in place within "weeks, not several months," to capitalize on the current ceasefire and increase the likelihood that Hamas will agree to disarm.
