The SNP has called for Commons Speaker Lindsay Hoyle to stand down after the Gaza vote farce on Wednesday night, with the party's Westminster leader Stephen Flynn saying he no longer has confidence in Hoyle to carry out his job impartially.

It comes after the SNP stormed out of the chamber last night after the party's motion demanding an immediate ceasefire in Gaza was ditched amid chaotic scenes.

Meanwhile, police investigating SNP finances have reportedly asked to re-interview party staff members. Detectives linked to Operation Branchform have sent letters to office workers employed by the Nationalists asking to speak with them.
