    3. How can David be a man after Gods own heart (1 Sam 13:14) yet have broken so many of Gods commandments? What does this mean for us?

    1. If there’s a problem with calling the resurrection life a ‘purchase’ then why do we say Jesus ‘paid’ our debts? Should we rephrase it?
    2. Did Abraham really obey the law before it was given to Moses? Why is it still counted to Abraham as righteousness when he submitted to Sarai and slept with Hagar? What does this mean for us?
    3. I’ve always heard that grace is an unmerited gift. If it was more in the first century, why don’t we emphasise the other parts?

    1. You mentioned how Paul mashed a handful of verses together to convey his message, but today this methodology of picking and mixing verses is frowned upon, why?
    2. Romans 3:11-18 contains many references to wicked speech, violence & destruction. Why do you think this is? Is it more of a theological emphasis or a pastoral one?
    3. Say more about the Romans road.

    2. Paul suggests that people were slandering him by saying that he supported doing evil (3:8). What was the basis of this claim?
    3. If circumcision is no longer needed why did God initially instigate it if He was just going to get rid of it?

    3. Given there is no obvious Jew/Gentile divide at GBC, if you were Paul writing to the church of GBC what would you say to your imaginary dialogue partner?

      1. In Romans 1:32, if Christians do not speak up about what is evil behaviour are we not guilty of giving approval by default? Sins of omission, good men do nothing. 
      2. Given the Bible's teaching that all wrongdoing is sinful and worthy of death, why does the Church often single out sexual sin for special condemnation?
      3. Does Paul's teaching in Rom1:26-27 mean that ALL homosexual sexual activity is wrong, even if it's in the setting of a committed, monogamous relationship?

        1. Why does Paul choose to delineate that the Jews are the first to be saved?
        2. Verse 16 in other bibles says “gospel of Christ” and the Greek says “εὐαγγέλιον τοῦ Χριστοῦ”, it was said Christ wasn’t mentioned. Can you please explain.
        3. Romans 1:13 NIV says “harvest” which is translated from the Greek karpos which is “fruit”. Does use of the actual meaning change how we should interpret this?
