Luke 2:1-7.
Luke records the birth of Jesus in just seven verses.
(1:4) “that you may know the certainty of those things in which you were instructed.”
Luke is writing history not mythology. One of the most remarkable things about the birth narrative is that on the surface it is unremarkable. He shows that the birth of Jesus was in real-time and in a real place.
The time and the place of Jesus’ birth were ordained by God.
