If you have a teenage boy driving, I don’t have to tell you that insurance rates for young male drivers can be pretty high.  It’s because young men are at a higher risk for accidents.  You see, they aren’t always sensible.  Well, that’s where Paul leads us next in his letter to Titus chapter 2.  Paul writes: Titus 2:6-8 6 Likewise urge the young men to be sensible; 7 in all things show yourself to be an example of good deeds, [with] purity in doctrine, dignified, 8 sound [in] speech which is beyond reproach, so that the opponent will be put to shame, having nothing bad to say about us.”

It’s one thing to try to talk some sense into a young man, another to cultivate sensibility.  But that’s where we are going today, with Pastor Bart Horton here on Growing In Grace.

The leadership of women and discipleship of young women.

Today with Pastor Bart, we continue our verse-by-verse study through Paul’s letter to Titus. Titus on the island of Crete is charged with establishing the young church and we have been hearing Paul’s call for pure doctrine.  Sound doctrine for the leaders, sound doctrine for the church, sound doctrine for men, and now in Titus 2 verse 3 Paul is encouraging women in sound doctrine.
