He grew up in Nepal with 33 million Hindu gods. Little g, false gods. At age 20, he met Jesus Christ, the One True God. And that changed everything for him.

His name is Dr. Dan Pokharel, and he is a pastor, church planter, missionary, and the executive director of Global Mission Nepal based in Charlotte, NC.

More recently he founded the National Baptist Convention of Nepal as the first denominational organization of its kind in country that only received the Gospel of Christ in the 1950s.

It was fifty years later, in the early 2000s that Dan came to US as a young Christian to study and prepare for ministry, thinking he would go back to Nepal. But God had other ideas, and Pastor Dan has been planting Nepali-speaking churches in Texas, in Boston and New England, Charlotte and Nepal ever since.

In fact, since 2013, he has led Global Mission Nepal to plant 167 churches across the entire country. And he is only getting started.

He heard the Great Commission as a command. So he just did what Jesus said: "Go, therefore, and make disciples."

And for Dr. Bob Magruder, he's been doing it for 40 years since, as a pastor in just about every role you can imagine, and now, in a new role as the full-time Executive Director of Multiplying Culture Ministries. He is co-author of Multiplying: Creating a Culture of Disciple-Makers, which he wrote with his wife Barbie. He is a discipleship coach. He is a mentor for leaders who want to make disciples.

He is a church planter. So, he packed his wife and kids in the minivan and moved to New England to plant a church in 1994 and he never left.

In fact, God used Dr. Terry Dorsett and his family to plant multiple churches in Vermont. They went on to lead the Green Mountain Baptist association. They relocated again to plant churches in Connecticut, and eventually, they followed a call in 2015 to move again, this time, to lead the Baptist Convention in New England (the BCNE) — which is the state convention encompassing all six New England states.

They called a church planter to lead the convention. And in 11 years now, Dr. Dorsett has a number of notable accomplishments, one in fact, involved changing the name of the convention to the Baptist Churches of New England. But, that is not all that's changed.

All because a church planter who said at the time that he was not qualified, but called. And, he trusted God to help him figure it out. Today, his team is as diverse as the culture, and they continue to pray for another Great Awakening to come soon to New England.

Pastor Hilario Polanco couldn't adopt just one kid, so he adopted the whole neighborhood. Well, not exactly, but what he did to create a safe, Gospel-centered before-school / after-school place for kids has transformed hundreds of lives and families, and the whole town for Christ.

Of course, being from Illinois and starting a business in Tampa, he named it Dallas 1 Construction. And 40 years later Bart Azzarelli Jr's business is a $30M-a-year company with the mission of "Serving Christ through Construction."

He plastered Proverbs 3:5-6 on every truck and trailer. He started Bible studies and shared Christ with his employees, operating Dallas 1 according to Biblical principles.

And he did it with the help of other Christian CEOs meeting together monthly to equip each other in the faith, and in the day-to-day of running a company for Jesus. And as a result, hundreds have to Christ though the business-ministry of Dallas 1.

He prayed that God would send someone else. And, God sent him instead.

It was that kind of Jonah calling that moved Joe Pardo with his wife and kids from Tampa to Puerto Rico in 2015; not to plant a church, but to plant Hope Women's Clinic, San Juan's first evangelical women's crisis pregnancy center.

And in ten years since, they have been celebrating life. And the Lord has grown Joe's family, and grown the ministry to two locations with 13 employees who are sharing the love of Christ and providing resources and support for women to choose life.

And in the process, the lives of women and children and families are being transformed, and the Gospel is multiplying across Puerto Rico and beyond, all because one family answered the call. Because one family said yes.

He moved to New England for an internship, and he never left.

And in just 10 short years since, that unmarried, English-speaking gringo has become fluent in Portuguese, has married his Brazilian pastor's daughter, has become father to a new baby; he is also a school teacher, and a co-pastor of a Portuguese-English-speaking, Brazilian congregation in Boston, MA. 

Pastor Josh is a native of Springfield MA. He is a Liberty University graduate who didn't originally set out to be a missionary or a pastor, but God had a different idea.

Mke Kahn is pastor to the pastors — more than 150 pastors in the Tampa Bay Baptist Association.

Since taking on the role of Mission Strategist in 2013, Pastor Mike has led out of a vision to "encourage, equip and multiply" first the man and then the leader with specific emphases in evangelism, in prayer and discipleship.

Pastor Mike was an engineer who pursued seminary training at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary after completing his undergrad. He went to serve on staff with Pastor Ken Whitten at Idlewild Bapsit Church in Lutz (Tampa Bay) for 19 years, before answering the call to lead the TBBA. 

Today, he partners with the Florida Baptist Convention and the SBC to shepherd and steward a staff, signific real estate and other assets, and a $500K annual budget. But, most of all, Pastor Mike is about leading and growing men who are called to shepherd and lead in the local church, investing in their lives, their wives and families, and in their and ministries.
