We return to the book of Genesis for a new series called, "Leadership Genesis". After having spent 2 and a half years learning Genesis by its context, we shall take another look from the aspect of Leadership. Check out the message below for the first message on Chapter 1. Preacher: Ed Pilapil Jr.

Scripture can be easily taken out of context.

Paul charges Timothy in studying and handling the word of God accurately. Let us take heed of his warning and desire to study the Scriptures, learn its context, and interpret it carefully - that we may present ourselves approved before God in the way that we handle His word. Sometimes, there are breakthroughs that can only happen through fasting.

Jesus modeled this discipline in Matthew 4:1-11 when he fasted for forty days, and after having been tempted by the devil, showed us that it would not be physical power that would overcome the enemy, it would be through spiritual strength. Preacher: Ed Pilapil Jr.

Genesis 49:29-50:26 - Despite the long years of hardship, God, through Jacob and Joseph, left a legacy for the nation of Israel, and in turn the world. Genesis has been the story of the creation of the world, and the making of a nation for the promise of salvation. This is the very last sermon in our series on the book of Genesis! Since October 2016, we have encountered different stories, of different men and women of God, and have seen how the Almighty sovereignly set the stage for His ultimate plan for man - that is, eternity with Him through Christ. The journey of Jacob was difficult, and the years of his life were shorter compared to his forefathers. Yet at the end, he found clarity and rest as he lived in Egypt and saw his family survive the famine through the leadership of Joseph. Scripture: Genesis 47:28-48:22. Preacher: Ed Pilapil Jr.

Genesis 49 - Joseph's journey in becoming a leader was not easy. He had to learn to survive early in his life.
