Welcome to GCISD’s BEST Podcast. In GCISD, our mission is to be the best and we define that as Building Excellent Schools Together. We can’t accomplish this mission without really getting to know those who walk our hallways, work with our students, and influence lives on a daily basis. This podcast is an opportunity for you to learn more about GCSD’s best and brightest in the classroom and behind the scenes in our great district.
October is National Principals Month and we are blessed to have an outstanding team of campus leaders serving here in our district. In today’s episode, I am excited for you to get to know one of those principals. Dr. Wynette Griffin has been the principal of Glen Hope Elementary since August of 2000. Prior to that Wynette served as the assistant principal at Dove Elementary and taught at Grapevine and Bear Creek Elementary Schools. She is a tremendous leader of teachers and truly loves the students and community of Glen Hope.
I hope you enjoy this conversation with Dr. Wynette Griffin!
Superintendent Dr. Robin Ryan is joined by Dr. Paul Sikes, GCISD's Director of Fine Arts. Dr. Sikes is one of the newest members of the GCISD family. Listen in to learn about his journey to GCISD, what's on his music playlist, and he even reveals his lifelong nickname that he goes by! Thanks for listening to GCISD's BEST Podcast
