This week, we look at how the promises of God, through Jesus, are far greater than the promises of the old. Jesus did not come to abolish the law because the law is God’s perfect teaching of who we are, but Jesus came to fulfill the law. The problem with the old covenant was because it was a bad promise but because we do not have the power to fulfill it. The covenant Jesus made is that if we trust his body and his blood, we also are perfected in forgiveness of all our sins. Now, that is a greater covenant!

This passage reflects on John 18, focusing on the final hours of Jesus' earthly ministry. It highlights Jesus' love for His disciples and humanity, seen through His betrayal, illegal trial, and crucifixion. The narrative includes key moments, such as the journey to Gethsemane, Jesus' Power and Identity, and the high priests and their authority.
This segment invites reflection on betrayal, divine love, human weakness, and the eternal kingdom of Christ.
The key themes in this study are our identity in Christ, Christ's Supremacy, Living in God's Will, Suffering with Christ, and Christ in Us.
This week, we look at a truth that honestly brings me so much comfort as I meditate on it. Hebrews 7:25 says, “Consequently, He is able to save to the uttermost/at all times/completely those who draw near to God through Him since He always lives to make intercession for them.” Jesus now lives to serve as our Greater Mediator who (RIGHT NOW) is making intercession us before the Father. Scripture says Satan is an accuser, and he points the finger at us and makes us feel less than who we are. Jesus points at us and then turns to the Father and says, “I’ll take that one…forgive them”. Jesus is our Greater Mediator!!
