Geek Fights

No skinny ties or leg warmers here, we go back in time man style! Join Damon Shaw, Mike Ortiz, Mike Diskin, Benjamin Mcculloch, and the star of Josh Month, Josh VanValkenburg as the discuss the BEST 80S ACTION MOVIE. It's all homoerotic subtext, body counts, one liners and Arnold. Lots of Arnold. WWJCVDD? He would listen!

Here's the song from the break:

Chris keeps on reading, and this time it's more Superman! Our favorite Englishman lends his ephemeral eloquence one again to the Last Son ok Krypton. This time out it's 2 very different pieces. First up he tackles the effusive words of Quentin Tarantino with Bill's monologue about Superman from Kill Bill Volume 2. Then he goes totally old school (and kind of American) with The opening from the Adventures of Superman TV show (and radio show for the most part. The radio show didn't have "and the American way line" but Chris does (sort of) and he's not even American!)

In the Geek Fights system, the people are represented by two separate yet equally important groups: the Geek Fighters, who are Damon Shaw, Mike Ortiz, Brian Townsend, Josh VanValkenburg (replaced mid-season by Greg Blanchard, Yossie Bloch and Dominic Williams; and the Geek Fight which is BEST LAW & ORDER CHARACTER. These are their stories.

Here come the Judge. PDF and Excel format.

Yeah Damon Shaw, Mike Ortiz, Michael Felsher, Chris Wood and Dave Gill did it again. Another STAR WARS VS. STAR TREK. Yet again. This time it's different though, I promise. Really. We all know how J.J. Abrams would vote on this one!

This time Chris not only Reads, he Teaches. Join him and find out the answer to the age old question. What's a wookie. You may think you know, but do you? Do you really? Don't be so sure.

They often suck, on rare occasions they are the best, but usually the best you can hope for is its not as bad as the last one. We aren't talking about our episodes, we are talking about the BEST 3RD MOVIE. Join Damon Shaw, Mike Ortiz, Michael Felsher, Josh Bradley, Rudy Schuepbach and Pete Trudgeon for an episode with that heaps far too much praise on Teen Witch, which is not even a third movie.

Brackets are here: PDF and Excel format.

Chris reads a very special song. Which song? Listen and find out!

The Browncoats are coming, the Browncoats are coming! And Damon Shaw, Mike Ortiz, Jerad Formby, Patrick McCartney, Kirky Wade and Gary Tognetti are with them! They are talking about the BEST OF FIREFLY. Hear them wax poetic about the short lived show that only seems to become more powerful in death than it was in life. Just like Obi Wan Kenobi and Jesus. I'm not sure if this episode will make Firefly fans happy or angry, probably both, but more angry.

Turns out they can take the sky from you, but not the brackets. PDF and Excel format.

As part of our 2013 Superman Celebration, our very own Chris Mitchell continues his Chris Reads episodes with an all Superman installment. This time out Chris reads some classic scenes from some classic movies. And don't forget to check out the videos:

It's time for a fabulous-fun-filled-facial-follicle-frenzy-full_of-Fuzzy-fellas! Join Damon Shaw, Mike Ortiz, Chuck Farrell, Christy Wooke and special guest stars Michael Felsher & the Soundboard players as they discuss MUSTACHES VS BEARDS! From pencil thin lip caterpillars to full on flowing chin manes we look at the best in facial hair. It may be the most diverse list too, with theres a wizard, a Jedi, some rock stars, a philosopher, commie, fascist and alien tyrants and lots of very manly men. Sure this might have been better in November, but we just thought of it a couple weeks back during Indy Comics Showdown and we couldn't wait.
