Geek Nerdery

Time to pray for a miracle because this week Graveyard Duck is talking Actraiser for the Super NES. Will we get struck by lightning for being heathens, or will we be spared? Listen and find out.

We almost get the perfect episode with a challenge, drama and elimination. An unfortunate event cuts the elimination short, but hey, there’s always next week. We push the boundaries of politically correct speech this week.

We continue Romero month by taking a look at a couple of non Romero movies that would never have been made if not for his influence. First, the Dawn of the Dead remake followed by The Return of the Living Dead. Keeping with the remake discussion, we review I Spit on Your Grave, I Spit on Your Grave 2, The Dark Tower, Riverdale, and Penny Dreadful. Be sure to stick around until the end of the episode for some important show updates.

4chan is a large internet bulletin board that hosts topics on a wide array of subjects. While they sometimes have the reputation of being dangerous or malicious hackers, that is only a small subset of the site. A lot of the posts on the site are just simple prank jokes, memes, creepypasta or green text. There is some truth to the darkside, though. On this episode of Internet Freakshows, we explore some of the dark underbelly of 4chan.

Tim and Hill are back, and so is everyone else from the Redemption House. The gang battle it out over water. Who will be redeemed? It’s a short episode since all we’re discussing today is the Challengenation.

Check on your pet frog and hop in your tank. We’re talking Blaster Master on episode 10 this week. Join us as we once again head down memory lane as we discuss this classic gem.

I’m sure most people listening to this have seen the TV show Hoarders. What if, instead of trying to clean up those hoarder’s houses, you instead just gave them a camera and asked them to cook some of their favorite dishes? Well, you may end up with the type of video you see from MasaoHF’s YouTube Channel. This episode of Internet Freakshows explores Masao’s cooking, his apartment, and some history as to who Masao may be.

This week we’re down two co-hosts so Amanda and Bryan venture forth alone to tell the tales of this week’s Challenge XXX: Dirty Thirty.  We talk about some drunken shenanigans, if Tony is actually a good player, and state multiple times that Nelson is a punk.

This week we honor one of the great legends of horror, George Romero. We discuss two of his lesser known films, Martin and The Dark Half. We also discuss Scanners, Play Motel, The Pit, Bruiser, Knightriders,  Land of the Dead and begin Scott’s Buffy odyssey (complete with theme song).

A user joined a paranormal chat room in the October 14, 2000. He went by the name Time_Travel0. At the time, he claimed he had been drinking wine and spoke rather nonchalantly about being a time traveler. The others in the chat room had other odd stories, like claiming to have been reincarnated over 50 times, so most in the chat room did not challenge his story too hard. Time_Travel0 was quite candid about his history, or maybe I should say future. In this episode of Internet Freakshow, we take a closer look at John Titor. He is either a time traveler or an internet troll. You decide.
