Geek Out/Nerd Rage

As we welcome William back from his hiatus, we want to issue a warning up front. THIS EPISODE HAS CAPTAIN AMERICA 2: THE WINTER SOLDIER SPOILERS. Fortunately we saved that until the end and give you warning beforehand, so if you haven’t seen it go and do so, listen to the first part of the podcast on the way, and then listen to the last part on your way home! This is what we call a plan folks.

A new challenger appears for this episode of the podcast! To sub in for the missing William, our good friend Joe (@joewilsonswar on twitter) graced us with his presence, opinions, and thought words, to help maintain the balance of power between Josh and Rob.

As the hosts contemplate the secret to life (hint it’s pretty straightforward), we interject with our topics on more comic book movies, more large companies gobbling up the little guy, video game leaks, different places getting on track with renewable energy, and freaking laser eyes! That last one may or may not be an exaggeration...

William's mic decided to hate us this week, but we fought through it, and delivered more quality content for your ears. Nintendo will live on, Playstation makes a move towards VR, and Amazon wants more of your money in Episode 10!

The nerds delve into the new Cosmos, the possibility of a main character smoking in a TV show, the refresh of a classic text adventure, an origami microscope, 5G in Europe, and spinning synthetic spider silk, all while trying to not get too distracted by South Park and other silly references.

We've got laughs, serious nerd outs, and the feels in this episode. What starts with our ongoing love affair with bacon, ends with some serious thoughts on world events, with some fart jokes and Batman in between.

To celebrate the new website (geekoutnerdrage.com) our hosts enjoy candied bacon and beer while they discuss their most recent topics. Twitter, 3D printing to save lives, a console war movie, the continuation of Heroes, Netflix v. Comcast, and Gozilla all attack your ears!

One of the great things about having two co-hosts for Geek Out/Nerd Rage, is the fact that each of us has our own unique set of interests. It's not often that you hear a conversation travel from video game studios, to comics, to neural pathology, and wrap up with internet anarchy, but somehow we've managed to do just that! Words were said in this, the most recent episode of Geek Out/Nerd Rage!
