Geek Roulette

This episode is another arbitrary episode! Our hosts just play catch up on some of the things that have gone on in our lives. We discuss what age is the right age to watch certain movies. And our Arbitrary List is our top three shows you should binge watch while being stuck at home.

After a month long hiatus, your hosts Mike and John are back to discuss what the past month has been like for them in this new infectious world. We talk about how our lives have been impacted as well as ponder what this means for our future as well.

Your hosts Mike and John cover a trio of topics in this episode. First we talk about the health and progress of upcoming Star Wars movies and shows and as if we should be worried if some of these will actually come out. Then we talk about some of the schedule and director changes in the Marvel Disney+ offerings. And lastly we discuss the excessive costs of tickets and how much is too much to watch a band we like?

Your hosts Mike and John take a retrospective look at one of the world's most successful Metal bands, Metallica. We take a look at our favorite memories of them, discuss each of their albums, try to make sense of the documentary Some Kind of Monster, and our Arbitrary List is our top 5 favorite Metallica songs.

Your hosts Mike and John discuss a wide range of assorted topics! We discuss our most disliked comic book characters (As of now). We talk about how too much hype can have a negative impact on the things we love. We get inspired by A Space Poddity and talk some of our favorite cover songs. We hear about Mike's deep loathing of the Dave Matthew's Band. And we take questions from The Dump!

Your hosts Mike and John take a look at how the Watchmen and Mandolorian series wrapped up. Did they stick their landings? What does their future's hold?

We discuss what went right and what could have been improved with each series.

Arbitrary Lists will be near the end of the episode instead of the beginning as we re-rank the Star Wars films.

Mike also regrets not calling out Adam Driver for having the best performance of any actor or actress in the film. He was truly the film MVP.

We will NEVER watch or review any of the Made-For-TV Ewok movies.

And if you want to watch Mike's recommendation of Stella, you can find it on the Vimeo Channel Stella Show right here: https://vimeo.com/user93490107

The sound will be a little louder as we added a third mic to try to draw in more of the special in the background. I do apologize for that.  This episode works best as a riffing episode if you watch the special as you listen to the podcast.

Our Arbitrary List : Top three weird Star Wars theories

This episode your hosts revisit what was Disney's first PG-13 movie....The Black Hole! We discuss the odd history and legacy of one of Disney's most surreal and odd "family films" ever made. From murderous robots, to laser lobotomies, to a journey through heaven and hell.....your hosts Mike and John speak on why this movie left such lasting impressions on them. Oh? And Mike spills a mead cider on himself.

Your hosts Mike and John decide to not have a topic this episode as they decide to just have another Arbitrary Episode as Thanksgiving approached. Your hosts talk about how Black Friday has lost it's impact. Thanksgiving lists! Bands Reuniting! And the Cybertruck's indestructible windows! Full on turkey? Just sit back and give the episode a listen!
