Nintendo 3DS Console Lookback

In this episode:

• This week we look back at the Nintendo 3DS console and why we love it.
• It's odd doing a retrospective on a game that is still technically being developed for, but it is at the end of its life cycle. That doesn't mean it's dead by any means.
• In fact, the Nintendo 3DS is one of the best systems we have ever owned. The games are phenomenal, and the range of titles is honestly better than any other console.
• We talk about the remasters and console ports. We discuss original titles and how m any of them were precursors to console titles that became some Best-in-Series (Mario Kart 7 and Super Mario 3D Land).

We talk about the recent Harry Potter's Birthday Party that Jennifer threw at the library, and how it's not as out of reach as you think to host a fan event that can draw hundreds of people.

We know that a lot of you may have aspirations of hosting a con of some sort, of even just a fan event where you can get together with like-minded folks and geek out about what you love.

Summer is awesome, but at the same time, there's a slump in a lot of the things we love. After the initial burst of movies...we are left with a drought. Video games don't get released because they're waiting for that holiday smash success. And books...well, we don't even know when books release, remember? But we talk about it all anyway and how we handle the drought.

We check in on online communities in 2018 from how we’re feeling about them to how we interact with them day to day.

We started blogging and this podcast for the community. To make friends. To bring people together over things we love. And while the communities and their platforms may have changed, we may be getting back to a more personal era of online talk.

Best of the First Half of 2018
