On this very special edition of Geeking Out About, I am joined by the Senior Vice President at the Noble Collection, Julian Montoya. We discuss the history of the company, the beginning of their Harry Potter license, and their push into areas beyond prop replicas. We also drop some tantalizing hints about the next products in the works. NOTE: This video references Toy Fair in New York City, which was cancelled after it was recorded.
This is a special interview only episode. My guest is Kevin Mowrer, co-founder of Huge! Play, a new company with an extremely innovative and impressive new product called GameBud Talkin' Tom. We talk all about the company, what Tom is and how he came to be and what might be next. I also encourage everyone to go and watch this interview on our YouTube channel, cause Tom really needs to be seen to be believed.
In this very special episode, Ryan Magnon, President of PandaMony Toys, joins me to discuss where the company is, their newly launched Kickstarter, and what the future holds. Also, an EXCLUSIVE discussion of a possible new line from the company which has NEVER BEEN SHARED WITH THE PUBLIC BEFORE! All this, plus copious amounts of self promotion, and a billion mentions of their Kickstarter URL (www.alternationkickstarter.com)
This week, I discuss the latest Geek News, including McFarlane's blockbuster expansion of his partnership with DC. We also discuss Black Panther coming to Marvel's Avengers and Jodie Whittaker leaving the TARDIS.
But the highlight this week is my interview segment: "Better Things to Do." My guest is the one and only "Unrivaled" and "Unmatched" Jeremy PAdawer from Jazwares. We discuss the AEW action figure license as it reaches it's 1 year anniversary and the similarities between it and the Jakks WWE line that Jeremy oversaw 15 years ago. We also discuss the pandemic, the toy industry and the supply chain hurdles that he has had to overcome. It's a great conversation about a variety of things with one of the savviest minds in the industry.
You can see a video of the conversation on our YouTube Channel. Search for Figures and More on YouTube.
We have returned at last! Hope you had a safe and happy lockdown, but now we have reemerged and are ready to get back to business. I'm still working on the return of the news segment, so this week, I am presenting the first installment of my new interview segment, Better Things to Do. First up is the Lead Designer for the AEW Unrivaled line for Jazwares, Magic Olmos. Magic and I discuss some of the standout AEW figures and present a figure-by-figure analysis of the recently released Wave 5. In addition, Magic breaks down his role in the action figure creative process, and how he got into the business. Magic is an amazingly creative person, with a great personality. We had a lot of fun making this interview and I hope you enjoy it.
On the 1 Year Anniversary of AEW Dynamite on TNT, I sit down with Jeremy Padawer from Jazwares to talk about the AEW Launch. We talk about what went right, what went wrong and what the future of the line is. If you are an All Elite Wrestling fan, you will not want to miss this one.
This Special Bonus Episode features an interview I did with Brock McLaughlin from Spin Master about the 4 inch Batman line that launched in January. We also talked about our favorite toys growing up and I asked a lot of questions he couldn't answer. Brock is a really fun guy to talk to, and I hope you enjoy listening to this interview as much as I enjoyed conducting it. This interview was conducted around Batman Day last month, but due some technical difficulties, it was not able to be published that week. But, I wanted people to hear it, so I created this special Bonus Episode to showcase it.
