Geeks with Kids

“Knowledge, like air, is vital to life. Like air, no one should be denied it.”

Some of the most popular films in the past decades have been giant comic properties like the Batman films or the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Sometimes though, there are smaller properties that the casual viewer may not know originated in the funny pages.

Join Erik, Matt, Hawk, Gus, and Steve as they talk about the more obscure comic book films. How faithful was Edgar Wright's version of "Scott Pilgrim vs The World?" Who watches the Watchmen? Does "V for Vendetta" work in today's world? Why doesn't Alan Moore like any of his comic adaptations? And how influential was the adaptation of "The Crow" to the 90's culture?

Find out why it can't rain all the time on Geeks with Kids.

Have you ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight?

Ever since Bob Kane and Bill Finger created Batman in 1939, the Caped Crusader has been one of the most popular and recognizable comic book characters to jump from the funny pages to the silver screen.

Join Erik, Matt, Hawk, Gus, and Nick as they celebrate 80 years of the World's Greatest Detective and his various incarnations. How were they introduced to the Bat? Who wore the cowl the best? Which sidekick is the best? Who are their favourite villains from the massive Rogues Gallery? And what story would they introduce someone new to the Bat-family to?

Find out on Geeks with Kids. Same Bat-time, same Bat-channel.

We all float here.

After his debut novel "Carrie" was released in 1974, Stephen King has gone on to create some of the greatest horror, supernatural, suspense, and fantasy novels. His book and works of short fiction have gone on to be adapted into many films, television series, and comic books - both great... and bad.

Join Erik, Steve, Matt, and Michael as they jump into the legacy of this great American author alongside IT's very own Belch Huggins, actor Jake Sim. Which adaptations are the best? What insight do we get into the making of Andy Muschietti's "IT?" And where exactly is that supercut?

Find out why the devil's voice is sweet to hear on Geeks with Kids.
