As the main Geektown Radio podcast is still on a little break whilst I'm away, we have new episode of the Geektown Behind The Scenes podcast, and this time I'm chatting with the wonderful Claire Lim, aka "WeeClaire".

Claire is a presenter, Twitch streamer, podcast host, and all-around lovely human being. If you’ve ever been to an MCM Comic-Con you will know Claire as one of the Main Stage panel hosts, but you may also know her from her work on BBC The Social, Colin Murray’s show on BBC Radio 5 Live, the NME, her REAL IMAGINED FUTURES podcast, or a myriad of other interviews around the internet and tv.

An accomplished interviewer, Claire has chatted with some of the biggest names in Hollywood including Jeff Goldblum, Jamie Lee Curtis, Linda Hamilton, Michael Sheen, Simon Pegg, and many many more! Outside of interviewing, she fronted the BBC documentary 'Screen Grab', appeared on '007: Licence To Drive' on Sky, and co-hosted 'The Great PC Build-Off' for Intel. She also hosts panels at hosted panels at Scotland Comic Con and FanX Salt Lake in America, and is a Twitch Partner, regularly streaming to her community of fans.

In the interview, we discuss Claire’s approach to interviewing, and some of her favourite guests. She recently hosted the Main Stage at MCM Birmingham (which I, of course, missed as I am away right now!) so I wanted to get her thoughts on how things went, and she also gives some behind-the-scenes info about the panels! We also discuss how she got started, what she’s doing next, and, also a random discussion about the ‘Walking Dead’ finale (spoiler free!)

As the main Geektown Radio podcast is on a little break whilst I'm away, we bring you a new episode of the Geektown Behind The Scenes podcast, in which I chat to Hollywood editor & producer, Zack Arnold, editor on the brilliant 'Cobra Kai', and founder of Optimize Yourself.

Zack is an editor on Netflix’s smash hit series, 'Cobra Kai'... However, he is also the Founder of 'Optimize Yourself', a brilliant podcast series and coaching programme to help creative professionals get through their working lives without having to sacrifice their health, relationships, or sanity in the process.

Zack's story is an interesting one. He was a massive fan of the 'Karate Kid' films, and actively pursued the editing job on 'Cobra Kai' after watching the first season. In the interview, he discusses how his love and encyclopaedic knowledge of the movies have helped him in editing the hit Netflix drama.

Outside of 'Cobra Kai', Zack's other notable credits include 'Empire', 'Burn Notice', and 'Glee'. We also chat about the documentary film, 'GO FAR: The Christopher Rush Story', which he directed. You can see the entire movie for free here.

We return with a new episode of the Geektown Radio podcast, and this week we have a special show dedicated to MCM Comic-Con, which was held in London over the weekend.

As I'm currently buried under a mountain of editing, the episode this week features a number of clips from panels and interviews at MCM Comic-Con. We have Michael Sheen dishing the dirt (sort of...) on David Tennant, as he chats about his 'Good Omens' co-star. We have Mason Alexander Park & Tom Sturridge, aka Desire and Dream from Netflix's 'The Sandman' talking about their characters. We also have a longer interview with the creators and star of 'We Are Not Alone', a brand new original film coming to UKTV's Dave channel later this month.

'We Are Not Alone' stars Declan Baxter as hapless Clitheroe resident Stewart, selected by Gu'uns Trater (Vicki Pepperdine), Gordan (Mike Wozniak) and Greggs (Joe Thomas) as their official human liaison. Stewart must help the Gu'uns win favour with humankind, secretly aid Grieves (Amanda Abbington) and the human resistance, and somehow manage his enduring crush on Elodie (Georgia May Foote).

The film comes from Laurence Rickard & Ben Willbond, two of the people behind hit comedy 'Ghosts', along with the wonderful 'Yonderland' and 'Horrible Histories'. In the interview, we chat with Laurence, Ben and Declan about their new project.

The review side of things has a bit of a gaming lean to it this week, as Matt dives into 'Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2' beta, so gives his thoughts on that. He has also been playing around in a building game for the first time, as he sets foot in 'Disney Dreamlight Valley', a brand new life-sim/adventure game filled with your favourite Disney characters. He also talks about Season 3 if the stupidly named 'High School Musical: The Musical: The Series' on Disney+ and Apple+ TV series 'Central Park'. Meanwhile, I chat through heading back to my childhood with the wonderful 'Return To Monkey Island', and building factories on a remote planet as 'Satisfactory' releases Update 6. We also both give our thoughts on the big release from last week, 'Star Wars: Andor'.

After a very strange week of tv, the Geektown Radio podcast returns with our film reviewer Gray to chat through and review the last seven days on UK TV, film, and gaming, alongside the usual TV news and UK TV air dates.

Gray might be our film reviewer, but this month has not reviewed any films (to be fair, he has been sick, so we'll let him off this once!) However, during his recovery, he has been catching up on shows which he hadn't finished, so talks about 'Grace', 'CSI: Vegas', 'The Orville', and 'Abbott Elementary', along with a longer discussion about the new US version of 'Queer As Folk'. Meanwhile, I picked up the new drama from 'The Vampire Diaries' creator Julie Plec, 'Vampire Academy', and give my thoughts on how the two compare.
