CRPS - Complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) is a form of chronic pain that usually affects an arm or a leg. CRPS typically develops after an injury, a surgery, a stroke or a heart attack. The pain is out of proportion to the severity of the initial injury.

Directing her knack for writing to social media, she gained over 40K LinkedIn followers in a year and is in the process of launching her own blog (A Migrant’s Guide) to share hers and other migrants’ experiences of moving and living abroad.

Because every girl needs a hobby, she’s also flipped 3 "fixer uppers" since 2018 – the first of which was featured on HGTV – and is working on her 4th. Her almost endless amounts of energy comes from a strict diet of 2/3 caffeine and sugar with a pinch of ADHD. She’s currently based in Tunisia with her two dogs, and a clowder of street kittens that came with the place.

WHO IS TANIA?

TaNia Donatto is a junior at Stanford University from Southeast Texas, and she is majoring in Materials Science and Engineering with the goal of focusing on aerospace industry applications. She is a 2021 Brooke Owens Fellow, having interned at SpaceX this previous summer and will be returning next summer. At Stanford, she is as part of the Stanford Student Space Initiative (SSI) on the Satellites, Mars, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion teams. Additionally, she is an undergraduate researcher in Stanford’s Extreme Environment Microsystems Laboratory, or XLab. Beyond space-related activities, she participates in the Stanford Axe Committee, the Black Recruitment and Orientation Committee’s Big Sib/Lil’ Sib Program and has danced to sold out audiences with the Chocolate Heads Movement Band. Outside of school, she has served as a mentor for The Champion Project, mentoring high school students through the college admissions process. She also loves to write and perform poetry, having multiple publications online and in print.
